Sereni&Shentel LOVE from Miss Universe 2011

This post is dedicated to Deborah Henry, Miss Universe Malaysia 2011 who is going to compete for the Miss Universe 2011 title in Sao Paulo, Brazil on 12 September 2011. We wish her the best of luck all the way from Kuching!

We have been selected as sponsors for Miss Universe Malaysia’s token gift to all the other Miss Universe 2011 contestants.Miss Universe Malaysia Deborah Priya Henry will be giving away a specially designed Sereni & Shentel headband to each of the girls in the competition.We designed each headband using the Iban pua’ print fabric in three different hues of brown, blue and purple complete with their signature stones. This design is inspired by the beauty of pua’ prints of the Iban people of Sarawak, Malaysian Borneo, home to Sereni & Shentel. The headbands are an homage to Sarawak’s rich colours and traditions.

Here are some pictures from the ladies from the Miss Universe pageant showing their love for our headband.

We have also created a one of a kind luxe headband made from Borneo pearls, coral and crystals for The National Gift, an item brought by Miss Malaysia to be auctioned at a specific event at Miss Universe 2011 for charity. It is supposed to be a representation of Malaysia. The sea inspired headband brings an interesting twist that represents Malaysia’s beautiful beaches. The perfect National Gift to make any girl feel like a pageant queen.
